Exam Brief: The entrance exam for Charles University in Hradec Králové is conducted online and consists of two parts: a written test and an oral interview. The written test evaluates the applicant’s knowledge of basic sciences, with a total of 60 points available:  Biology 25 points,  Chemistry 25 points,  and Physics or Mathematics 10 points. It is a multiple-choice test, where each correct answer is worth +1 point, no answer gives 0 points, and an incorrect answer also gives 0 points. The oral interview is worth 40 points in total. The first part (20 points): assesses the applicant’s ability to understand and analyze provided scientific and medical information, interpret data, and make decisions. The second part (20 points): focuses on the applicant’s personal profile, including ethical and moral values, communication skills, teamwork, and cooperation.

Exam Brief: Semmelweis University puts a great emphasis on selecting outstanding applicants for enrollment and training. The written part of the entrance examination at Semmelweis University is carried out using the online Moodle interface. Applicants can take the online tests using their own computers at home. The written examination is an online test in Medical Biology, Medical Chemistry, General English and Biomedical English. Each part consists of 20 questions. The personal interview, which focuses on the applicant’s professional attitude, affinity and motivation towards medical sciences, as well as on their communication skills in English and it also includes an oral examination to measure the applicant’s knowledge in the above disciplines. The interviews including the oral exam will take place after the written tests. They will be held in person or online via the Zoom platform. Applicants will be notified in a timely manner of the offline or online nature of each interview so that they can prepare.

No Special English language requirements or English language exam, however candidates may be asked to take the university’s own Oral English language skill test.

Exam Brief: The written entrance exam for medical programs includes biology as a compulsory subject. With Biology, the students can choose between Chemistry or Physics as an additional subject. To pass the English test, a B2 level of proficiency is sufficient. Native English speakers are exempt from this part of the exam. Day 2: A written multiple-choice test in Chemistry and Biology, lasting 90 minutes. The test includes 75 questions in total 50 in Biology and 25 in Chemistry, each with four possible answers. The entrance exam consists of 80 test questions (40 in biology and 40 in chemistry).

Applicants who are not native English speakers must provide proof of English proficiency. The following certificates are accepted: Cambridge Exam (minimum FCE), IELTS (minimum score 6), TOEFL (minimum score 87), Psychometric Test, PTE Academic (minimum score 59). Alternatively, candidates may take the university’s own English language test.
