As of the latest updates from Canada's immigration authority (IRCC), Bangladeshi citizens are eligible to apply under the same immigration programs as applicants from other countries, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.

The main pathways currently include:

1. Express Entry
-For skilled professionals under:
     Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
     Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
     Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
-Candidates are ranked using the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS)

2. Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
-Provinces such as Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, and others nominate candidates to meet local labour shortages.
-A provincial nomination through an Express Entry-aligned stream adds 600 CRS points, making an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence much more likely.

3. Category-Based Express Entry (2026)
IRCC continues to prioritize candidates in occupations facing labour shortages, including:
     Healthcare
     Education
     Skilled trades
     French-language proficiency
Certain candidates with Canadian work experience, including new physician-focused categories.

4. Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
For qualified workers with job offers in Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador).

5. Family Sponsorship
Canadian citizens and permanent residents may sponsor eligible spouses, dependent children, and certain other family members. For

Bangladeshi applicants, the strongest opportunities are generally:
Skilled workers with a bachelor's degree or higher.
Applicants with strong English or French language scores (IELTS/CELPIP or TEF).
Those with skilled work experience in occupations that Canada currently prioritizes.
Applicants who secure a Canadian job offer or a provincial nomination.
